Duty to Consult: Orano’s Waterfound River Project

Who? Orano

Where? The Waterfound River project is located 40 km northeast of Points North

What type of activities will occur? Mineral exploration activities, including:

•The crew will access the property by snowmobiles, UTVs, ATVs, trucks, helicopter, and/or aircraft with floats/skis

•The line cutting/slashing crew will consist of up to 10 people on site for a duration of 4 months (2 months in 2026 and 2 months in 2027)

•The geophysical crew will consist of up to 10 people on site for a duration of 6 months (3 months in 2026 and 3 months in 2027)

•A temporary work camp is requested for a total of 10 months

•Trails: existing 25 km and new 0 km

•Line cutting: existing 50 km and new 100 km

•Line slashing: new 100 km

•Front line preparation: new 200 km
