Duty to Consult: Orano’s Waterbury-Cigar Lake Project

Who? Orano

Where? The Waterbury-Cigar Lake project is located 16 km west of Points North Landing

What type of activities will occur? Mineral exploration activities, including:

•Line Cutting and Ground Geophysical Surveys

•50 km of existing trails

•100 km of new grid lines

•100 km of line slashing

•200 km front line preparation

•50 km of refurbishing and 50 km of picketing

•600 Ambient Noise Stations per survey

•No new roads or trails will be established but snow clearing, snow compaction and minimal vegetation clearing may occur to accommodate access

•Access to the site by snowmobile, UTV, ATV, truck, helicopter, or float plane

•Temporary work camp is being proposed at a previously used location, and would occupy less than half a hectare
