Duty to Consult: SaskPower Taylor Bay Phase 2 Project

Where? This project is located approximately 270 km north of Pinehouse, Saskatchewan. This phase of the Project starts at the Taylor Bay Switching Station and extends for 16 km to the north along the existing TY12 transmission line terminating at a point northeast of the Denison Wheeler River Mine.

What type of activities will occur?

• Vegetation clearing of the existing TY12 right of way would be widened by approximately 80m to accommodate construction of the 16 km long T1P line and would be cleared using mechanical methods (drum mulcher) with hand clearing (using chain saws) in areas with difficult terrain.

• Vegetation clearing of existing trails and access points.

• Installation of structure foundations and anchors.

• Construction of line (structure setting, conductor stringing, etc.)

• Clean-up and reclamation activities.
