Duty to Consult: Foremost GR and Blackwing Projects

Where? The GR and Blackwing Projects are located 25 km south of Lake Athabasca

What type of activities will occur? GR & Blackwing Projects Both the GR and Blackwing projects involve similar exploration activities, including winter-access drilling supported by helicopter and potential skidder use. Each project includes:

• Drilling: 35 total holes (20 on land, 15 on ice)

• Infrastructure: Temporary work camp, up to 25 helicopter pads (max 30m × 30m), and drill pads (max 30m × 30m), with some located within the 30–100 m shoreline buffer

• Shared use of 50 km existing trails and 40 km ice roads

• 60 km line cutting and 60 km line slashing

• Efforts to minimize disturbance by reusing clearings, drilling multiple holes per pad, and prioritizing helicopter access

• GR Project: 35 km of new trails

• Blackwing Project: 20 km of new trails
